remember there is a large cost to find a replacement for yourself. that costs includes salary but also time effort and down time. if your employer realizes that and doesnt dislike you, it will help. |

Tell your boss that you have a competing offer that you re considering. But first go get a competing offer. Then you will have all the leverage you need ... if you are worthy of a raise in your boss' eyes then you will get one. Or go to a new job (best way to get a big increase).
