i think its a bias against consultants, but coming from bain may overcome it.
and often they will get someone from that industry if they want expertise from a particular industry.
finally, sure the banks execute deals, but the LBO shops must understand that like a core competency |

Is that of the major LBO players, Bain Capital has the highest IRR over the past few years. Shows the power of a shop that is mostly staffed by former consultants.
