It seems that the leading lbo-firms (Warburg Pincus, CDR, Carlyle, KKR) are hiring a lot more Investment Bankers than consultants. Why is that so? Are transactional skills more important than business judgement?
Provided this is true, how can one improve the odds of breaking into one of the top-tier lbo-firms as a strategy consultant? |
