In Reply To: let me settle this from first hand experience. i was in an ivy league school (penn) and transferred out to a very strong state school (ucla) because I did not like the atmosphere of spoiled little shits, though there were some definate cool people as well. there are a definately some students that get into ivy leagues because of their parents names. reputation of a school is very important. which was harder? thats a tough one but the kids at penn definately had more time to party. they also came in a little bit more prepared because they went to prep schools unlike a public school like myself. i call it even if ucla wasnt harder. difference is at ucla they dont care if you fail or not. at penn they want to keep their dropout rate down. ucla has a strong reputation but the networking i would have attained at penn would have been superior and it would have helped me for the job world. people at penn thought i was transferring to school of dumb blondes like ucsb or something. as far as i am concerned all of those top schools would be equally challenging though some have boosted gpas aka stanford and wharton. i knew the risks when i made the move and i still managed to get a high quality consulting job. now that given, had i gone to a lower ranked state school like penn state, it would have definately been a lot harder. top firms dont recruit at lower ranked schools this all being said, if you want a nice piece of ass, go to ucsb. ucla has hotties too but unfortunately they are sober. penn has the rare combination of ugly girls with the personalities of supermodels.
Message: Did they teach you how to spell like that there? Thank goodness you left Penn, otherwise you would have brought down their graduation rate.
