I had offers from both Monitor and ATK, I chose Monitor and I haven't looked back. Monitor is filled with intelligent, fun people and I've throroughly enjoyed the work. After speaking with many of the ATK folks, my impression was that they did a lot of "sourcing" work. So what is this? Definitions vary, but in general it is more operations focused and centered around cost-cutting. However, that being said, the people at ATK were also quite nice. Here's something to think about. If you decide you are interested in operations type work, talk to your Monitor sponsor about the group company called APS (Activities, processes, and systems) This group does operations types of work and you can get staffed on one of these cases yet still remain a part of the general Action Company. Monitor is pretty good about letting you define your career path and it shouldn't be a problem to get on an APS case if that's what you decide you're interested in. At ATK you probably won't have much of a choice since a good portion of their work is centered around sourcing. However, overall they are both good firms so congratulations! By the way, what Monitor office is your offer for? |

I don't work for either company, but I think if you are still not sure, go with Monitor. It offers a very nice and intellectual environment as well as broader future career prospects. good luck.
