yeah they'll be around. and if they're not, you've gained an unbelievable (more) amount of experience that will take you far and beyond a consulting gig. it's not just for risk takers, it's for people who don't want to lead a boring big 5 conservative, everyone thinks and looks the same, monotonous kind of existence. besides, if you're looking for a boutique, look for one that's been around for a while. there are quite a few out there who have established themselves as a niche play. they are quite stable, growing and highly sucesssful. with even (hard to imagine) better profit margins, retention rates, overall emplyee satisfaction, comparable salaries and packages, and overall, more enjoyabale and fun, yes, fun environments
