I don't know why you think you won't be a grunt at one of the small strat houses, they need people to do the analysis just as the big boys do. Here's the dope though: Parthenon, Marakon, Dean and Company, Cambridge Strategy Partners, Treacey and Company, just off the top of my head. |

Many of the smaller shops tend to be a cult of personality -- and ego -- for the founding partner. Over the course of time, this lack of fresh perspective leads down a road to shitty work, and then progressively small time clients.
AVOID Richmark and Kuczmarski, both in Chicago. They're both run by major league assholes that drive off all talent so that they can always be the most intelligent person in the room...
