Does anyone know anything about Political Risk Consulting? Who are the leading specialist firms in this area? Which other firms have Political Risk groups?
In particular, who has practices in New York or DC?
Also, any suggestions on what type of background is required for entry level positions? |

Actually, the place where political risk work seems to be done the most is in the insurance industry. I know Marsh has a big unit as does AIG. Of course that may not be exactly what you're looking for. There are also scores of small companies usually led by former high-level officials that do that kind of work (i.e. Kissinger Associates, Intellibridge and Medley Global Advisors) but they don't seem to hire at the entry level.
