hi -
i'm a second year corp. fin analyst in the tech group of a top investment bank. the firm is ny based but my group is in menlo park. i'm thinking about what i want to do after the analyst program and i've come up with 1. VC 2. PE 3. bizdev or 4. strat consulting.
how tough is it to get a job at a top strat firm e.g., mck, bcg, bain, etc. after a couple years of banking. at what level would i have to come in.

my friend, it is time for you to reach into your soul and decide whether you wish to carry on existing a meaningless life. What is any of the jobs you mention by simple resignation to corporate capitalist exploitation? I would say that you dive in and see whether you are able to start something on your own.
