I find that people are trending towards wanting JDs, especially venture consulting firms and any e-consultancies.
My firm increasingly interviews JDs. It's a real asset. I think you'll find it to be a valuable offering as long as you effectively market yourself. |

I have been considering a jump to consulting, but haven't found much info. Any thoughts on the following questions would be appreciated:
1) When is the best time to apply? (Both in terms of the time of year and in terms of the time in my career -- I am currently a second year)
2) Are there any firms that are known for hiring JDs? Or any firms that I shouldn't even bother sending a resume to?
3) What kind of work is most applicable, or will make me most marketable? (I have done mostly Trademark and copyright acquisition, IP licensing and some general corporate work)
