In Reply To: I'd been avoiding a follow up b/c it was clear it wasn't going anywhere. My beef w/ Brian is that his posts tend to be argumentative. Where that gets good conversation going, great, but where it's insulting, it has no place on the boards, IMHO. ============ Now as far as posting my identity. For political reasons, I can't do that. Believe me when I say I'm at McKinsey, but if I post my name up here, I'll get 100 different e-mails and phone calls from people saying, "How do I get through the interview process...." Also, such a divulgence would obligate me to give the party line on McKinsey, rather than the rather frank view I can give now in anonimity. If you don't want to take advice from an anonymous source, then simply don't read the posts from me. You will be passing up one good data point however.
Message: McK Insider, assuming that your claimed affiliation is true, you are correct. There is no advantage for anyone if you reveal your identity, especially since you would be limited in providing a critical perspective. ----- The reason for me to "come out" was a response to Peter and an attempt to bring the discussion about being a consultant, or not, to an end.
