I have made two postings to this site as defender of consulting.
But now I have to defender the bashers.
Consulting as an industry has its problems, and the criticisms posted here have a strong element of truth to them. It is healthy for the industry to confront and admit its issues and try to improve itself. The criticism is good, even if I do not agree with the tone,
I wrote my responses as a balance, and one other poster did the same,
I am on your team, but don't bash the bashers, then the site gets silly fast |

Dear Defender,
Your comments are intelligent and civil. Where do you work?
(I would be very grateful for a reply-- I am applying for jobs in consulting; far the most important thing to me is working with intelligent and decent people; and-- not meaning to be unkind but-- the quality of postings on this and many of the consultancy boards is such that I feel I have to be careful, on both counts.)
