The markets will cool somewhat this year so hiring will be down but firms will still be hunting for talented MBA's. When I was an MBA I just basically wanted information on the firm. These days it's a bit more complicated. What sort of things do MBA's look for in firms during recruiting, what type of information what type of on campus activities? It would be interesting to have the information flow more than one way. |

I'm a first year at Fuqua considering a career in management consulting. During the recrruiting season, I have consistently noticed that the number one concern of my classmates is lifestyle. More and more students are members of dual-career familes and are at the age when they are making plans for children. They welcome the challenge of consulting, but don't understand why that must come with 4 days of travel per week. The number of grads willing to make this sacrifice is dropping rapidly. I guarantee, that unless consulting firms change their travel policies, they will be hard pressed to find willing candidates.
