Message: 459.1 hi, something that i have been thinking about... Companies tend to put a lot of pressure on you to sign a sheet of paper commiting yourself to work for them when they give you an offer. If you sign the contract then i can see that they are forced to hire you and would do so in order to be professional. but from my understanding if you sign the sheet and commit to the job then before you start work basically tell them to screw off and work for another firm, they really cant do anything about it. This is because if they forced you to work it would be considered slavery. If they have not spent any time training you, can they and will they legally do anything to hurt you? I havent seen a acceptance letter yet.
