Topic Name: "Sole discretion of employer" in contract?
Message Name: I would expect that

In Reply To: It may be fishy, but many states are "at will" employment states. Employers can fire you if they want to, and employees can leave if they want to. The opposite is a "right to work" state, in which employers need a reason to fire people. The clause MAY be present simply to give your employer "at will" rights no matter how many days you sepnd in "right to work" states on assignments. Same conclusion as everybody else: This is why there are lawyers in the world. Take advantage.
Message: I would expect that a consultation fee should be proportionate to what the client gets; you get what you pay for.
