Is this a typical clause in a US contract? Seems rather strange to me and puts much power in the hand of the employer.
For a European like me, 3 months is the normal time for terminating an employment, except for the first 3 months, where an employment contract can be terminated within a week without reason. (However, my new firm, where I will start in January, offered me 10000$ for relocation if the contract is terminated from their side within the first 3 months.)
