i would like to know what would be the best route for a future entrepreneur, would it be Investment Banking or Consulting? where would you gain more experience relating to the Business World? thank you any input is greatly appreciated. |

Entreprenuers are sales people at the beginning and end of the day. All the stuff about taking a company public/raising money, etc...they hire lawyers to help them. Real entreprenuers sell....that's all they do; and then they hire people to do other critical functions as the company grows.
So if prove you can bring home the money and work in sales in a chosen industry. It's the most logical route i can see.
I-banking and consulting won't help you to start your own business. They will help you to be analytical and teach you how to kiss ass to keep your job. They are not good training grounds for an entrprenuer who needs to always convince someone to take money out of their wallet....
