In Reply To: Where have you been!? That's all people have been doing on this board: using the various rankings to debate which school is the best. People apparently are "stupid" enough to rely too much on the rankings. Look around if you don't believe me! Still, you haven't answered my question: How does US News rank Harvard & Stanford above Wharton, while they rank Wharton above both schools in half of the functional categories? The only function that Harvard & Stanford blow Wharton away in is "General Management"; but since they are both general management programs this skews their rankings even more. The bottom line is that they are all good schools, and to graduate from any one of them is a privilege.
Message: Those functional rankings don't drive the overall rankings. Things like GPA, GMAT, Average starting salary, recruiter reputation, academic reputation, % employed after graduation all are filtered in. Did you even bother to read it? The scoring methodology is plastered all over the web site and the magazine. get a clue.
