I'm from Florida, and its well known that FSU has a lousy b-school. Guys from the bottom half of my inner-city high school went there right after graduating from FSU indergrad. From the website:
"Admission averages are 570 on the GMAT, 3.25 upper division GPA and 4-5 years of prior work experience." (I know for a fact that the last clause is a lie)
Top ten employers:
Arthur Andersen LLP
IBM
Price Waterhouse Coopers
BURDINES (a dept store)
Ferguson Enterprises
Andersen Consulting
Richs, Lazarus, Goldsmith
Florida Power & Light Co.
AT&T Solutions
First Union
Merril Lynch (and that's not in Manhattan...)
If you get an MBA from FSU, realize that you are likely to spend the rest of your life in Florida, probably in commercial banking or retail. If you want to move on to IB in the Northeast, you have grossly inflated expectations.
