That's pretty pathetic. You are a slave to your job. Tell your family to f$#k off because they aren't as important as your job.
I-bankers are just well paid slaves. Can we say "no autonomy"?

Currently, I am working about 40 hours a week. I have some other commitments, that take 20 hours of week. This is accepted by my spouse. After b-school, I'll go into consulting, with the 60 or so hours a week.
I have not considered i-banking before, because I have thought that the hours would not go well with a family life. This thread is about having a family life while doing i-banking work and I am curious whether it is possible or not. The work sounds interesting, but it'll not be for me, if I can't combine it with a family life.
As to being pathetic, you are probably right. And as to being a slave to work, you are off the track here.
