Dear sirs/ladies:
I have a question for some of the more seasoned professionals and B-school grads:
My dillemma is as such:
I hope to get into the best B-school possible, but my grades and GMAT scores for the most part point to 2nd to mid tier institutions. Hopefully one saving grace is the possibility/probability/hopefully of being given a recommendation by a recruiter from the industry (let's say Morgan for example) for whom can vouch that I'll be back with the firm upon my graduation...the question then is....
Can anyone tell me how much weight is carried by a recuiter of a well established firm to a school that has little to no connections to it...(lets use Penn State or Maryland or UT Texas (Austin) for example)
I don't mean to sound arrogant/haughty, or such...but I pretty much need all the help I can get.....I mean would these types of schools and someone like say a Notre Dame or something; ever look at my recommendation as a way for them to develop future business relationships lines/venues for their future alumni or is that line of thinking seldom used in the overall grad school application process. Thanks in advance for all your assistance.
