No a 600 on the GMAT is not hard to get.
Take some practice tests and If you are not confident you can break the 600, take some courses.
Make sure you can excell in one subject (Q, or V) and you will break the 600.
Always remember to aim for 800, seriously,work and study as if you want to reach 800. Make it your objective. 600 will come vrey easily then.
