In Reply To: NYU is a school for losers. It's not Ivy (and not Kellog), so don't waste your time, effort, and money on going there. Living in NYC is a lot of $$$ and not worth the expenses to go to Stern. You can get a much better and more marketable MBA at an Ivy league school like HBS, Wharton, or Kellog. Plus when you get out you can get a REAL job and not have to wait tables or whatever you people do who come from sucky, inferior business schools. NYU is good for other things (ie. LAW) but not the BEST for business!
Message: I worked with a top investment co. here in New York and am currently attending Stern (graduating May). Because I had worked in the financial institutions M&A division my company sent me to the #1 school for financial institutions studies. You might want to look. Even in your own state Loyola U. is 3rd in the country and Southern Illinois U. is 9th. Harvard is 10th and Northwestern comes in a lonely 14th.
