First of all, you Americans have created the job problems yourselves. Because in the US the law hardly protects employees, companies hire lots of people when economy is booming (whether they are needed or not) and they lay-off everybody again, when economy is going badly. In Europe, perhaps except for the UK, people do not get laid off that easily. On the other hand companies avoid overhiring because employees cannot get laid off.
Anyway, my point is if you can't get the top job you've always wanted with your MBA degree come over to Europe. In for example the Netherlands economy is still thriving and people with top MBA degrees are in high demand. Besides that, you will learn that protecting employees is not such a bad thing after all.
The other option would of course be to start your own company and prove your worth the top job you desire. |

We American's (half of us anyway) don't need the government to wipe our #$%! The rest of the paternalistic world has yet to figure it out. Free markets raise living standards... period! Europeans think they can engineer the perfect society via coercion and confiscatory taxes. With freedom comes responsibility... the responsibility to take care of one self. Live free or die!
