Do you hear yourself? Who cares man. People on this board are losers and if you're really at BCG then you sure as hell should have something better to do than ramble on about the value of attending an Ivy League business school like Columbia vs Sloan vs Wharton etc etc etc. It's kind of ridiculous to banter on about which school is better, we're talkiing about top tier programs here, since when has Columbia taken a back seat to any school; or MIT or U Penn for that matter.
One last point, to the moron who earlier posted about Harvard and placement into High Techs, let me elaborate for you. The only reason HBS grads even end up at High Techs is because of Harvard's proximity to Silicon Alley (Rt 3 Boston, for those who are not familiar with the 'Alley'). I'm currently a student at Sloan (2nd year) and we send a much larger percentage of our gradsvs HBS to the High Techs in Sil. Alley. In fact, I've met many HBS students who come over to Sloan to get the inside scoop (from students) on the High Tech recruiters. My point being, HBS isn't exactly blazing a path or setting a trend for B-Schools, all the top programs know what's out there; if anything HBS is following the lead of schools like Sloan and Stanford (Columbia, Kellogg and Wharton are also keen on this trend). HBS is a great school but save the pomposity for the 2nd tier toilits, the rest of us (at Top Ten Schools) are not impressed. |

Dave, You're clearly an idiot. HBS and Wharton bot have a "trek" to the Bay Area every year. Add Seattle and Austin to the list of cities that those students go to each year to meet companies. Boston's Route 121 has a shitload of high-techs too.
You're just too fucking dense to be an MIT student. What is this some sort of inferiority complex you have to HBS students?
