Not in Harlem??? R U kidding? Take a drive into Columbia and look at your surroundings. You will not ask someone the time there nor take a cab at night.
Boston boring? It is the most culturally rich place in the US being the place where history of the US began, plenty of students from all over the world, greenery, Charles River, etc. How can you exchange that with concrete all over the place with crime? I am not saying NYC is lousy. Sure when you want a career you go to where it is but for an education, don't you want to be in a place that will give you a rich student lifestyle? Don't forget, you have two years and you want to live it. You can spend the rest of life in a concrete city but those two years are important.
Further, how can you compete with Cambridge? I place my money to say that there is not a place in the entire world that has two world class institutions like Harvard and MIT. Step foot on Cambridge and you will feel the brainpower....sorry....harlem just does not cut it. |

your passion is killing your credibility. I don't know if you got rejected by Columbia (I'm sure you'll tell us all you were too good to apply there) but it is not in Harlem! You're just a flat out idiot if you say otherwise.
