It is a real pitty that a b-school with such a reputation is located in such a nasty location, specially considering the almost 40% international student body of its MBA class. |

...but I would take another look at Stern. Don't let the class size scare you, it's broken down into smaller units and it really feels like a smaller school. And considering your family situation, both you and your wife may find NY to be a pleasant surprise. I grew up in California and lived in Europe for three years before going to Stern. If you want a job in IB, I recommend it. The finance professors are world class. Check out the reputations of Damodaran and Silber.
