What next? MBA? |

I need some advice. I'm 23 and am a Carnegie Mellon grad and Architecture degree holder who for the past 7 months have been at a fantastic IT consulting firm. Unfortunately, things haven't been going well for the industry and my ex company had to downsize significantly to stay afloat.
Now I'm looking for consulting opportunities in more stable and larger firms (Accenture, Mckinsey..) but everyone's frozen their hiring plans now except for the most gifted grads coming from top business schools. I also thought about going to do an MBA but my lack of experience is a huge problem as well.
Go back into architecture you say? I actually got out of it because I was more interested in business and finance and would like to build on my skills coming from a IT consulting firm. Besides, the construction industry is very very susceptible to the business cycle and things being what they are in the general economy now, I'm not too optimistic about construction either..
So there's my problem...I don't have any solid leads to follow for career advancement. Ironically, my job versatility almost comes as disadvantage. Jack of all trades..but master of none.
Should I go back to school at get a solid business or finance degree? Should I apply to MBA programs?
Any advice for my present uncertainty? Help!
