I found myself in the same plight about three years ago. I had practiced law -- as a narcotic's prosecutor -- for two years and found myself slowly becoming disenchanted with trying 4 cases a week! I intended to get my MBA after graduating from law school and so I figured tha,t because I was at the point where work was not fun to me anymore, this year was as good a time as any to cut the strings and take the plunge. I started the Fuqua School of Business here at Duke this past August and have been very pleased!!!
Your background sounds incredible. Note, however, that you are going to be asked the "why do want an MBA in light of the fact that you already have a JD?" question 1,000,000 times . . . a key issue for you, as it was for me, is to develop a solid answer.
