Seems easy to say, but this board shows how hard is to be a one firm firm in practice.
I've lived in New York for a couple of years and now I'm at a McK in Latin America. I would never change my lifestyle and office for going back to NY. NY is not heaven for everybody.
McK needs and has smart people in every office. Don't try to win a race that doesn't exist. Try to choose and get the office that will best develop your personal and professional needs, then you'll be winners no matter in what office you are.
