In Reply To: I took it in my final year of univeristy and don't regret it at all. I considered the GMAT to be "just another course", and was able to score a 710 in 1998. I could probably achieve a similar score now, but it would be much more difficult to budget the time with my job, applications, extras, etc.
Message: Just plan your Gmat well n advance and start cramming three months earlier. Forget about the reading comprehension and the logicl reasoning, which oyu don t really need to practice once you ve understood how hey work. Concentrate your 'maths' and grammar. Work regualrly one hour every day and a few more on week ends. Forget about software and buy pratice books stuffed with tons of exercises rather than crappy software that look nice but are quite poor in content once you ve done the few tests they offer. Practice AWA mechanically by preparing canned sentences for intro, conclusion, comments, etc.
