In Reply To: I have the GMAT coming up, and I'm working full time, way too busy to study for it, and I know I'm not going to do as well as I would if I weren't so worn out from everything else! How bad is it anyway? Lisa Jordan
Message: The GMAT isn't bad. Just remember what it is designed to do: measure your aptitude for business school. When I took the GMAT there were several people who were close to tears during the test. That's ridiculous. The test is not designed to be beaten or failed. It is a measurement of how you would perform at b-school. Just don't sweat it, take the stupid thing, and walk out. If you score high, great! If you don't, start looking at some lower-tiered programs. It's not the end of the world. The test is scored relative to everyone else (i.e., on a percentile basis). If everyone says it's hard, that's fine. Your score will be indexed against everyone else who's taken it. You're all taking the same test.
