In Reply To: It's not just a stretch. It's absolutely untrue. While some schools just post the average work experience of their acceptees, Columbia actually explicitly requires at least two years of work experience. The only exception that I have seen to this requirement pertains to the JD/MBA program. JDs are able to gain acceptance to the Business school without the mandatory two years of work experience. In other words...that guy was full of shit.
Message: That's what I thought -- I was almost positive he was lying. Why do people pull that shit? Did he think that if he told me he worked for George W. and was accepted to Columbia that I'd take him home and have sex with him? I've actually tended to notice a huge inferiority complex of GWU grads -- I live/work in D.C., and I've met so many GW idiots I'm beginning to wonder how it is able to even crack into the U.S. News top 50.
