I agree with your comment on Carnegie Mellon. From what I hear, the curriculum is top notch, but the school's reputation just isn't up there with Stanford, Princeton and Chicago. Perhaps I ranked CM too high on my list.
Upon graduating from a mathematical finance program I'm looking to work as a derivative trader, quantitative analyst, or maybe working with a financial engineering team...something like that. Ultimately I'd like to eventually be a manager at a hedge fund.
