I am in a top 10 MBA program and recently had an interesting discussion about grades and degree distinctions. My view is that if you complete a top MBA program, the degree speaks for itself. Dean's List would be great, but a non-Dean's List MBA from a top school is still a MBA from a top school. The counter view was that only the top 25% matter and that if you can't get a top 25% from a top school, go to a lesser school and excel. I disagree.
