I am a current MBA student (top 10) and have heard that a lot of people have cheated on the GMAT...ie having someone take it for them. How common is this? is it that easy?

there was a ring about five years ago that was busted and thats pretty much the reason why the test is on the computer right now. some guy was selling a pencil for 10k each and the answers ...well the end result was a score no less than 700.
if you ask me these people who cheated should have been kicked out of school and if they cheated on a major test and paid 10k for it. they probably have cheated all their life and the awesome grades they have were just a cover up........
