In Reply To: Badly in need of some career advice! I have worked in IB in generalist roles for 4 years now and I am looking to move into much more challenging roles and develop a career within an Investment Bank, preferably Goldman Sachs. It has proven difficukt to change jobs due to lack of experience and academic background. I have now decided to go to Business School. I am based in London and there are very few top ranking business schools in London (other than LBS). I was too late to apply for the LBS 2000 MBA intake but have been offered a place at City University Business School - can somebody please tell me how this school ranks with major players such as Goldman Sachs? Ideally I would like to get an Associate job within an area such as Private Clients. Any advice would be grately appreciated.
Message: As an LBS student I found one of the greatest advantages of the school was that all the big names (GS included) come to campus keen to recruit for summer assoicates and full time. Before you accept at City make damn sure GS come to campus to recruit and that they actually take people each year.
