In Reply To: It is pretty clear that I-bankers make more money than almost all lawyers and physicians. It is also pretty clear that physicians make more money than lawyers after the physician finishes his/her residency. What does the long run comparison between lawyers and doctors look like? In this case, I am really only interested in the prospects of lawyers who graduated from top 15 institutions and work in big firms and doctors who graduated from similarly ranked medical schools. Do doctors have the potential income growth that lawyers have? It seems to me that the rate of income growth is steeper for attorneys than physicians. But I could be wrong.

Lawyers at least get a shot at the brass ring whether they can do the aforementioned within a boutique setting or land a partnership at a firm like Cravath.
