Seeking advice on whether I should go to a school like Penn/Duke/UCLA and pay (I already have $30,000 in loans from undergrad), or go to a third tier school (i.e. University of San Francisco, Golden Gate Univ.) with a full scholarship? What significance does pedigree hold (and how much pedigree do schhols like Penn/Duke/UCLA have) in the California law job market, and what factors should I be weighing? Please note: I would really prefer to stay in the Bay Area (but would go to NYC).
