bob_d has missed the point, or was he trying to make a different point? He obviously thinks that every poor minority is from the ghetto and brings their hood with them. He should try living in Newark sometime then he'll realize that smart disadvantaged people do exist and their the ones that AA is for, even if their not black. |

Every AA program I have ever heard of uses race as the barometer to evaluate adversity. Name me one program that uses socio-economic factors that would benefit, say, a white male from Compton. They don't exist. They should, b/c that would truly help those who have been disadvantaged by stigma in their lives, as opposed to a black preppy yuppie from NYC.
