In Reply To: Hi there I have often seen on law firm lawyer profiles the following titles: Associate Counsel Partner Is being a partner and counsel the same thing. What are typical BIGLAW salaries for associates Counsel and Partners Thanks very much for the input
Message: As far as I know, "counsel" is between Associate and Partner. They're typically people who've been with the firm for a while (say 5-8 years) and do not share in profits like partners do but make salaries around what 5th-8th year associates would make. Seems like a euphemism for Associate to me.
