I want to settle in the Bay area after law school, however I most probably will not be able to get Berkeley.
I have a very good shot at UCLA and good shots (~50%) at UVA, Michigan, Penn, Georgetown. I'm "in" at Hastings.
UCLA vs. other higher ranked schools...?
Hastings vs. UCLA...?

I think if you are looking to work in the bay area then Hastings or UCLA may be the same. You will have better networking opportunities at Hastings and its solid here in the valley, right behind Stanford and UCB.
