I want to settle in the Bay area after law school, however I most probably will not be able to get Berkeley.
I have a very good shot at UCLA and good shots (~50%) at UVA, Michigan, Penn, Georgetown. I'm "in" at Hastings.
UCLA vs. other higher ranked schools...?
Hastings vs. UCLA...?

If you can get into UCLA,
then go to UCLA over Hastings.
That's the only crystal clear choice.
If you can get into MI, U VA, or Penn, then the higher ranked school probably makes more sense.
Georgetown is an excellent school, but I might take the in state tuition at UCLA
option instead.
