about this subject. I think that it is fairly obvious that generally speaking (and that is all I will ever do here, since I am not getting paid); being from Chinese, Japanese, or Indian ancestry in America does not help your chances of getting in to college or law school.
By the way, I wasn't trying to attack you. It was my way of saying "Look, usually you are right, but this time you are wrong". I guess sarcasm doesn't write well. |

I dislike the whole issue of
ethnicity and admissions, because folks take such strong positions on either side of the fence. I think with hindsight, the better answer to the question might have been "the general answer is no; there are a few exceptions at a few schools for those of certain Asian ancestries". I chose a different route, trying to point out how imperfect the nomenclature is. This may indeed be "useless information", but this is a message board, where some useless information is permitted (and, heck, at review.com, required. Although sometimes sarcasm works well on a message board, I agree with you. It's like a deposition. Your client has all the attorneys rolling on the floor with his/her sarcastic good jokes, but then the transript comes back and it sounds like you're defending a serial
murderer. I think that written sarcasm and irony takes more space than these message postings permit us.
