You are an American. As Americans, we have been asked to be above prejudice. Our government and soldiers are not fighting in Afghanistan so we can mistreat Arab Americans here. If we did that, we would be dishonoring their efforts and memory. As an American, we are asked to embrace other people of other cultures. As an Americans, we are asked to be tolerant and respectfull of those who are different. If you care about this country then you would live in a manner that is respectfull of American ideals. This country isn't about hate and performing witchhunts. So before you decide to vent your feelings, remember who you are: An American.
The entire purpose of this thread is asking people not to discriminate. There may be many Muslims who are anti-American living in this country.
And although I lack the statistics to back it up, I have pretty good idea that most Muslims in this country are peaceful. They want to work and provide for their families. They want to be accepted and befriend others.
Just remember all that the next time you see someone who is Muslim. The reason why we don't discriminate is that there are a lot of good people in society who happen to be Muslim. Don't mistreat them because what a few bastards did. Think of those people before you want to avenge the Sept. 11th attacks.
