My school has fallen consistently in USNEWS rankings ( a complete joke), to unimaginable levels. I am in the top 8% and on Law Review and I have not had any trouble getting jobs. In fact I have 3 offers in NYC for 125,000. Not bad. When you are applying for jobs your school might not get you in the door at Wachtell Lipton in NYC but unless you are a sadomasochist who enjoys 100 hour weeks, why would you want to go there anyway? I actually had an interviewer at a major NYC firm tell me that not only are interviewing skills the most important (and overlooked) trait, but that good looks play a huge part in the decision. Really want to work for firms like that?
Lesson is: Study Hard and have a good time, and the job situation will take care of itself. |

I completely agree. My school is not in the top 15. I have no problems getting job offers that start off at $110,000. I am in the top 10%, and I am not on law review.
