Many Lawers that come out of Law School with 120K salary then go to Boutiques and hense give up the Salary, why?
If I go to a Law School like Fordham (undergrad) and get 3.8 in pre-law, can I make it to Columbia business (since I was told Banking is more stable in a good economy)?
What is a better, safer, higher paying carrer, Banking, Medicine, Law?
Many analysts speak of Hedge funds, what are they?
Why do they prefer to work for SOROS instead of Merril Lynch? Do hedge Funds and boutiques fall under Investment Banking, how so?
Bob_d said that Good sales people all make six figures in a post on MEDICAL SCHOOL or LAW SCHOOL.
What is 'sales', what type of job is this? I don't think top companies would pay 200K+ salaries for me to sell pens all day long. Is this position better than
MD (Medical Doctor)
or
M.D. (Managing Director)
To people like sadsocks and bob_d, how did you become IT consultants from JD's and MBA's? I know that MBA's a prestigious but for IT? Isn't IT a less-paying career than say, Banking? Is IT stable???
To Lawers, what is Patent Law? Is this a paper-pushing career?
What is a BSEE?
What is this 'Residency Business surrounding the medical field?
Why is Dermatology the most difficult and sought after residensity? Are the salaries good?
What about for a professional dermatologist?
An Amswer to any of these questions would be helpful, includeing the DIscussion Topic question, thanks.

Of course, I have to place my mark on this board as well:)
1. Dermatology residency is 4 years, and the beauty of it is - many things are regarded as cosmetic as opposed to health-maintaining/life saving and are, therefore, not covered by insurance. Cashola city, dude. In 12 years, however.
2. You know what I think after being involved in an extensive debate on the board below? You can make money in medicine, law and biz. Find out where your aptitudes are and go for that field. It is better to be a good engineer than a shoddy investment banker.
