I'm about to graduate from college and I really want to paralegal or be a legal assistant before going off to law school, but it seems that legal recruiting doesn't take the same route as say the recruiters for the banking and consulting industries. Should I just pester the human resources department? Can anyone who does have a legal assistant job please help me out and give me some pointers. What should I say and how should I approach them? Any help would be much appreciated..thanks |

As the paralegal supervisor for a mid size firm, I would suggest starting with a legal placement agency (Although the entry level market may be a bit dry at the moment). I personally prefer to hire those who have proven themselves as temps.
