but so are MBA programs. After getting an MBA from a strong regional business school--I tried to get a job on Wall Street--at some of the bulge bracket firms (back in 97: I was working part-time in Insurance Risk Management) I got no love!!! So I learned just how picky they are in this world about just where the hell you go to school. I cured this deficiency and I am a 3L at a Top 15 Law School and am now headed for BIG LAW. BUT, I only got ONE OFFER (and 5 call backs) after sending out circa 500 resumes and attending 60 interviews over a two year period. The law is a tough nut to crack buddy--but so is IB. |

You were in the financial services arena already. Am I wrong in my belief that IRM is similar to IB??
How many years of experience did you have??
Very interesting, to say the least.
In the end, I believe the market is fluff. An example are stock analysts and their buy-hold-sell picks. 99 percent of recs are buy or hold. Less than 1 percent are sell. The market creates and shapes itself through its own collective beliefs.
