I took the LSAT 2x-the first time I got 158, and the second time my score went up to 165. With a 3.65 GPA from a state school, I was accepted to top 25 schools. I don't recommend going to a 3rd tier school because the pressure to do really well will be enormous. I'm not kidding. At my school (top 25), you need a 3.3 1st year to get interviews. Also, there is one aspect of going to school in the area you want to practice that most people don't consider (I didn't realize it until I was gloing through recruiting). If you go to law school in a geographically desirable area, then your entire law school will probably apply to all the same firms. The same people (the ones with the highest grades) will get interviews at all of them. I am working in a different city than where I go to law school because it was actually easier to get a job here. Good luck. |

Hi,
I am in a similar position, having taken the exam 2x (159 to 170) and was wondering which schools accepted you, as well as if you knew what schools took score averages versus taking the top score? Thanks!
